There are watches that tell the time, and then there are watches that tell a story. The newly redesigned Longines HydroConquest does the latter — and it does it beautifully.
Longines has just unveiled the 2026 generation of its iconic HydroConquest collection, and we’re delighted to be bringing it to our customers here in Jersey. This is a watch that has always captured our imagination — sporty enough for adventure, refined enough for every occasion — and this latest iteration is arguably the most compelling yet.
A Fresh Look, A Familiar Spirit
The HydroConquest has been a firm favourite since its launch in 2007, earning a loyal following for its combination of robust performance and understated elegance. For 2026, Longines has taken that winning formula and refined it in almost every direction.
Sizes and Dial Options
Available in two versatile sizes — 39mm and 42mm — the new collection immediately impresses with its dial options. Choose from polished lacquered finishes in blue, black, or green, each offering real depth and character, or opt for the stunning frosted-blue sunray variant that shifts and catches the light throughout the day. It’s one of those dials you simply can’t stop looking at.
Ceramic Bezel Colours
Framing those dials are five ceramic bezel colours: classic black, blue, and slate grey, joined by two striking new additions — verdant green and luminous blue. The combinations on offer are genuinely exciting, and we think there’s something here for every taste.
Built to Perform
Of course, a dive watch lives or dies by what’s beneath the surface — and the HydroConquest delivers where it matters. Water resistant to 300 metres (30 bar), it features a reworked unidirectional rotating bezel with an enhanced tactile feel, borrowed from the Ultra-Chron Diver. A Super-LumiNova® capsule at the “0” position ensures excellent visibility in low light, as do the newly applied luminous indices on the dial itself.
The Calibre L888.5 Movement
At its heart beats the Longines calibre L888.5 — an exclusive self-winding mechanical movement featuring a silicon balance-spring. This clever component makes the watch up to ten times more resistant to magnetic fields than standard ISO requirements, a genuinely useful advancement for everyday wear. Add in a power reserve of 72 hours and a five-year guarantee, and you have a movement that matches the watch’s exterior ambition with real substance.
A New Bracelet Option — and a First for HydroConquest
One of the most exciting developments in this new generation is the introduction of Milanese mesh bracelets — a first for the HydroConquest collection. Crafted from high-quality stainless steel with a full-brushed finish and polished sides, the mesh option brings a softer, more sophisticated feel to the lineup. It’s breathable, beautifully comfortable on the wrist, and adjustable to a precise fit thanks to an improved micro-adjustment clasp.
For those who prefer a more traditional look, three models are presented on stainless-steel bracelets featuring elegant H-shaped links, incorporating a double-folding safety clasp with four adjustment ranges for a personalised fit.
Henry Cavill — The Perfect Ambassador
Longines chose Henry Cavill — their Ambassador of Elegance since 2024 — to front the new campaign, and it’s a pairing that makes perfect sense. Filmed on the dramatic volcanic shores of Tenerife, the campaign captures Cavill moving effortlessly between land and sea, horses providing a powerful visual connection to Longines’ long-standing relationship with the equestrian world.
It’s a campaign full of movement, purpose, and a quiet confidence — precisely the qualities the HydroConquest embodies.
Nearly Two Centuries of Watchmaking, Distilled
The HydroConquest traces its roots back to the Conquest line, which first received trademark protection in Switzerland in 1954 and became known as the ultimate everyday watch. When HydroConquest launched in 2007, it elevated that legacy with serious water resistance. Each subsequent generation — 2018, 2023, and now 2026 — has built thoughtfully on what came before, adding capability and refinement without losing the essential character that makes this collection so enduring.
The 2026 edition is no exception. It honours that heritage while looking confidently forward — much like Longines itself, established in Saint-Imier, Switzerland since 1832 and still at the forefront of Swiss watchmaking nearly two centuries on.
