A modern version of the 1968 Diver’s, the first one piece case, high beat diver’s watch made by Seiko and the first made in Japan. This model adds a GMT hand, so a second time zone can be read alongside local time, and pairs an Oceanic Black dial with a scratch resistant Japanese ceramic diving scale.
Inside is Seiko’s in house calibre 6R54, the first mechanical GMT movement used in a Seiko diver’s watch, with a power reserve of around three days. The case is 13.3mm thick, water resistant to 300m and fitted with a sapphire crystal and screw down crown. The short pitch bracelet sits low on the wrist and closes with a micro adjustment clasp for a finer fit. The hands and indices are coated in LumiBrite.
