Released to mark 60 years of Seiko diver’s watches, which began in 1965, this model is based on the 1968 Diver’s, Seiko’s first one piece case, high beat diver. It pairs a silvery white dial with a blue ceramic diving scale and adds a GMT hand for tracking a second time zone.
The stainless steel case is 13.3mm thick, has Seiko’s super hard coating and is water resistant to 300m under a sapphire crystal. It is powered by the in house calibre 6R54 automatic GMT movement, rated by Seiko at between 15 seconds slow and 25 seconds fast per day, with a power reserve of around three days. It is the first Prospex model to have a micro adjustable clasp on its short pitch bracelet.
