This Speedtimer draws on Seiko’s 1969 chronograph heritage and takes its colours from 1970s cars, known in Japan as young timers. The flowing case shape first appeared on the 1972 Seiko ‘Panda’ and has a super hard coating.
The powder blue dial sits under a curved sapphire crystal inside an inner rotating countdown ring, with LumiBrite on the reference triangle. The case is 12mm thick and water resistant to 200m, on a multi row stainless steel bracelet. The in house calibre 6R55 has a power reserve of about 72 hours, with a date at 4.30.
