This Seiko 5 Sports GMT reworks the SKX models of the 1990s, which brought better water resistance, stronger crystals and luminous hands and markers to Seiko’s 1960s designs. This version has a green dial and a two colour green 24 hour bezel with a Hardlex insert.
A GMT hand works with the rotating bezel to show a second time zone, and there is a date display. The bracelet uses the five piece link pattern of the original SKX, known as beads of rice, and the hands and indices are coated in LumiBrite. The case is 13.6mm thick with a Hardlex crystal and magnifier, water resistant to 100m, and the automatic calibre 4R34 has a power reserve of about 41 hours.
